This is the story of how it came to be,
that Robie and I adopted two little puppies.
I have never been fond of little tiny dogs,
they yap, and they bite, and are annoying as hogs.
But one day I saw the cutest pup ever,
I named him, Gizmo, and he was mine forever!

Our little fluff ball was as cute as could be,
although it was difficult training him where to pee.
Alas little Gizmo turned gray and gained height,
he even accustomed a mean looking underbite.

As Robie and I grew busy with work and school,
we knew it was time to find Gizmo a friend that was cool.
So we searched online for a suitable brother,
we tried to find a dog that looked like they had the same mother.
We came upon a dog, Cooper was his name,
the previous owners said he was quite tame.

So we hopped in the car and headed to Salt Lake,
but getting Cooper home was no piece of cake.
Gizmo was mad! He hated to share.
How much longer would he have to bare!?

We soon noticed Cooper had some behaviors so strange,
this calm dog went buck wild at times, and we don't think he'll change.
With the flip of a switch he goes crazy- full throttle,
attacking pillows, blankets, and even my huge protein bottle!
After a few weeks, Gizmo and Cooper started to get along,
and Robie taught Gizmo this beautiful song!
Now they are friends, and best friends at that!
They sleep, eat, and play together, and even chase cats!
They love to play fetch, and even know tricks,
they love to give kisses in the form of little licks.

But don't let them fool you, they're not as cute as they seem,
because these little gremlins like to eat all my things!
A nail file, a pen, some lip gloss...it's true!
These devils have even torn up my new shoes!
We might get mad and scold them a bit,
but we love our dogs and we will never hit.
They ate Robie's electric razor, they ate plastic bags,
they ate all these things, while still having happy wags.

Key members of our home they will always be,
we love you Gizmo and Cooper, and thanks for being in our family!
