We tried to get Jaxon to visit with Santa, but he was a little weary of the jolly old man. He only got close enough to give him knuckles.
A couple days before Christmas, Robie's family had their annual Fullmer family Christmas party. It was a lot of fun. We had a delishious dinner and played some fun Christmas games. Then, we had a cousin gift exchange and the cousins acted out the story of Christ's birth. Gavin even got to be baby Jesus.
Christmas this year was everything I hoped and more. My whole family drove from Texas to Utah (24 hour drive) just so they could spend the holidays with us and meet Gavin. We have lived in our house for over 5 years, and this was the first year I felt like we had a real family Christmas. Christmas brings on a whole new meaning when you have kids. I actually think Jaxon got overwhelmed with all the presents and new toys he was opening. He got a fire station toy, a bowling set, a nerf football, bath crayons, cars, construction trucks, and a lot of new clothes and pajamas. Gavin got a cute sock monkey, some new clothes, and of course all of Jaxon's gifts are pretty much his too. Robie got a new golf putter and some new clothes, and I got an ipod alarm clock and a new laptop (since the one Robie got me from Black Friday broke). The new one is way better than the other one anyway.
I was really proud of myself for making my very first full Christmas dinner. My mom taught me how to make my first ever turkey, and it turned out SO YUMMY! We had sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry, rolls, green bean casserole, corn, and pies for dessert. It was divine! We had a full house with my family, Robie's parents, and two of his brothers over for Christmas dinner.
My Dad was so so SO excited to get Utah Jazz tickets from Robie.
