A Texas Visit from my Family

My family called me about a month ago asking what my 4th of July plans were.  Huh?  Why would they be asking that?  Well, since I really had no plans at all, they decided to make their annual family vacation a trip to visit me in Utah!  I was so excited for them to come.  The only one missing was my brother, Braeden, who is newly married and doing the whole work/college life in Dallas thing, but my mom, dad, brother (Nathan) and sister (Hadley) all braved the 24 hour car ride all the way here.

I should have gotten more pictures, but mostly we hung out, cooked food, shopped, visited Seven Peaks, and played games.  For the 4th, we watched the parade in Provo, visited the Freedom Festival, and ended the night with fireworks.  It was an awesome day, and even better that I could spend it with my family.

No lie, these snow cones are THE BEST!  I think the stand is called The Big Kahuna (?) on Canyon Road in Provo, but seriously....they are awesome.  They will even put ice cream at the bottom if you want, and they are HUGE!  Robie is severely addicted.

Thanks for making the trip.  It really meant a lot, and I loved all the time we got to spend together.  Love you guys! Can't wait to see you again this Christmas.
